JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties consist of but are not limited to the following: Scheduling and confirming appointments, data entry, operating a multi-line telephone system, handling and sorting mail, ordering and receiving supplies, working with medical records, and use of basic office equipment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer operations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have good organizational skills and communication skills. Excellent typing and spelling skills required. Some experience in medical records and bookkeeping skills are preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED and a good driving record for the past 3 years. Ability to maintain professional interactions with individuals receiving mental health services. Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette a must. Must be familiar with, and/or willing to be trained in, trauma-informed care. This includes understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma, and an ability to work in a behavioral environment where staff convey dignity, respect, hopefulness, and the opportunity for choice and empowerment among consumers.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift at least 25 pounds, reach overhead, and sit for an extended period of time.
